What we do for employers
Check the role first
We tell you which permit the job qualifies for, the salary it needs and whether a labour market test applies, before anyone pays a fee.
Labour Market Needs Test
Where it's needed, we plan the adverts with you so they meet the rules on content, platforms and the 28-day period.
The application, end to end
We gather and check the company and candidate documents and submit the application on Employment Permits Online.
Dealing with the Department
We answer the Department's queries and follow up if a decision is delayed.
Renewals and changes
We track renewal dates and handle renewals, changes of employer and transfers of undertakings.
Keeping you compliant
We keep you up to date with rule changes that affect your staff, such as new salary thresholds.
Applications we handle
- Critical Skills Employment Permits, for skilled roles in short supply. No labour market test, and staff can apply for Stamp 4 from 21 months.
- General Employment Permits, for most other roles.
- Intra-Company Transfers, for moving senior managers, key staff and trainees from an overseas office.
- Contract for Services permits, for overseas contractors delivering a contract in Ireland.
- Employer accounts on Employment Permits Online. Since April 2025, employers register a portal account with their Revenue and CRO details. This replaced the old Trusted Partner scheme, and we can help you set it up.
- Business and employment visas, where staff come from a country whose citizens need a visa to enter Ireland.
- Refused applications: we review the decision with you and help prepare a request for review.
Industries we work with
Construction and engineering · technology · biotechnology and pharmaceuticals · healthcare · hospitality · financial services · energy · retail and wholesale · academic institutions · recruitment.
Before you apply: the employer checks
- The company is registered with Revenue as an employer and is trading in Ireland.
- At least half of your staff are EEA nationals (the 50:50 rule), unless an exception applies.
- The employee will be on your payroll and paid at least the minimum salary for the permit.
- The government fee is paid by the employer or the employee, and can’t be deducted from the employee’s pay.
We check all of this as part of the free assessment.
